Analog Voltage Multiplier Circuit

Using log and antilog amplifiers, the circuit can be built to obtain the output proportional to the product of the two input voltages. The circuit is called analog voltage multiplier.

Analog Voltage Multiplier Circuit

Using log and antilog amplifiers, the circuit can be built to obtain the output proportional to the product of the two input voltages. The circuit is called analog voltage multiplier. The circuit is shown in the Fig. 4.6.1.


The equations (4.6.1) and (4.6.2), are written according to the theory of logarithmic amplifiers.

Now op-amp A 3 is non-inverting amplifier with unity gain.


Key Point Thus the output is proportional to the product of two analog inputs V1 and V2
