Advertising is a marketing communication to promote or sell a product, service or idea. The businesses wish to promote their products or services. Advertiser has control over what is said/shown in advertisements. Advertising is communicated through various mass media such as newspapers, magazines, television, radio, email or outdoor advertisements like giving sample products, blogs, social media, websites or text messages. The actual presentation of the message in a medium is referred to as an advertisement or ad in short form.
