prospective employer about your eligibility for the position you are applying
for. The job application letter should highlight your qualification,
experience, technical skills, other skills and your achievements. The letter
has to be drafted in such a way that it should attract the employer and
persuade him to shortlist you or call you for an interview. A well-written job
application letter presents a creditable picture of you as an individual and as
a professional.
The
application letter should express your interest for the job.
Do's
❖ Read the job advertisement details.
❖ Write the letter concisely.
❖ Include their requirements if you have
the required qualification.
❖ Include the key words they have used in
the advertisements.
❖ Do a small research about the company
and express your knowledge a little.
❖ Review professional job application
format.
❖ Address the letter to the right person
❖ Begin the letter by expressing interest
in the job.
❖ Describe your eligibility and
experience. Mention specific work projects.
❖ Highlight your attributes. Eg. good team
player, good communication skills, strong decisiveness.
❖ Complete the application letter with
thank you / with regards / looking forward to hearing from you.
