Reading advertisements is an interesting activity. It exposes the readers not only to new products but also to new vocabulary. The creation of advertisements needs creativity. Reading various advertisements is not a boring activity and it is one of the reading materials. Advertisements are closely related to culture and tradition. For examples advertisements on jewellery by leading jewelers of India expose different kinds of terms related to adornment. Eg. Waistlet, amulet, bracelet, necklace, nose ring, ear ring, studs, anklets, barrette, belly chain, brooch, crowns, coronet, corolla, pendant, armlet, charm bracelets etc.

Advertisements on real estate open many words related to the location such as hustle and bustle, serene, proximity, adjacent, deluxe, hub, villas, duplex houses, avenues, posh, infrastructure etc.

Advertisements on food expose different terminologies like gourmet, chef, cuisine, gobble, devour, swallow, chew, much, bite, glutton, comestible etc.

Advertisement on various fields facilitate learning various words related to different fields like electronics, electrical, power saving products, environment friendly products, wooden things, arts and crafts, tourism, automobiles......
