I. Fill in the blanks with suitable infinitives: (To + Suitable Verb)

1. ---------- loan from the bank is easy.

2. ---------- is to grow intellectually.

3. ---------- abroad is his ambition.

4. ----------- at his subordinates is easy for him.

5. ----------- grammar takes time.

 

II. Change the above five infinitives into gerund:

(remove 'to' and add 'ing' at the end)

1. ---------- loan from the bank is easy.

2. ---------- is to grow intellectually.

3. ---------- abroad is his ambition.

4. ---------- at his subordinates is easy for him.

5. ----------- grammar takes time.

 

III. Fill in the blanks with gerund: (Use 'ing' form)

3. ------------- newspaper empowers one.

4. -------------- to the tune refreshes one.

5. ------------- for a mile on Sunday is good for health.

 

IV. Change the above five sentences using infinitive:

V. Find out the errors in the following sentences:

3. He helps me to lift the luggage.

4. You need not to pay the fees you are exempted.

5. He has gone to home.

VI. Underline the infinitive or gerund and specify 'G' for gerund and 'I' for infinitive.

5. He likes saving money since saving is earning.

6. He does not like wasting time so he follows a checklist everyday.
