Q.1 List the control and status signals of 8085 microprocessor and mention its need. (Refer section 1.3.3)

Q.2 Write the functional aspects of execution unit in an 8086 architecture. (Topic not included in new syllabus (course 2013))

Q.3 What is a stack in an 8085 microcomputer system? (Refer section 2.2.5)

Q.4 What is indexing? (Refer section 3.1)

Q.5 Draw the 3-bit digital to analog converter block and plot its analog output. (Refer section 13.2)

Q.6 Draw the mode word format of 8251 USART. (Refer Fig. 11.5.1)

Q.7 Write an 8051 assembly language program to clear the accumulator and add 3 to the accumulator 10 times. (Refer program 15.10.24)

Q.8 What does the mnemonics "LCALL" and "ACALL" stand for? (Refer section 15.8.3)

Q.11 a) i) Draw the pin diagram of 8085 microprocessor and list the classification of signals. (Refer section 1.3) [8]

ii) Draw the timing diagram for op-code fetch machine cycle and memory read machine cycle. (Refer section 5.4) [8]

b) i) Write an 8085 assembly language program by asuming that microprocessor is completing an RST 7.5 interrupt request; check to see if RST 6.5 is pending. If it is pending, enable RST 6.5 without affecting any other interrupts; otherwise return to the main program. (Refer Example 4.2.1) [8]

ii) Draw the decode logic for LED output port in an I/O interface. (Refer section 7.2.3) [8]

Q.12 a) i) What are the different addressing modes in 8085 microprocessor? Explain it with an example. (Refer section 2.3) [8]

ii) Write an 8085 assembly language program to multiply two 8-bit numbers. (Refer Lab experiment 3.1.3) [8]

b) i) Give two examples for data transfer instructions, arithmetic instructions, logic instructions and branch instructions. (Refer section 2.2) [8]

ii) Six bytes of data are stored in memory locations starting at XX50h. Add all the data bytes. Use register B to save any carries generated while adding data types. Display the entire sum at two consecutive memory lcoation XX70h and XX71h. (Refer Lab experiment 3.1.1) [8]

b) ii) Write an 8051 assembly language program to copy the valule 55h into RAM memory locations 40h to 45h using register indirect addressing with a loop. (Refer program 15.10.23) [8]

b) i) Assuming the clock pulse are fed into pin T1. Write a program for counter 1 in mode 2 to count the pulses and display the state of the TL1 count on P2. (Refer Example 16.5.1) [8]
